From the interesting topics we study, different research proposals are made, result into projects that benefit the club, students of Bachelors of Science Technology-Biology, and the rest of the community. For example; mushroom project, Plant hormones like the rooting hormone(IAA)
2. Entrepreneurship activities:
In order to raise money for publicity and research projects, we come up with activities or make Items that sell to enable us raise enough money like Club stickers, key holders with the Club logo on it, production of Identity cards, printing hand kerchiefs.
3. Study tours:
We usually organize study tours for the first years doing Bachelors of Science Technology Biology to well known laboratories and research stations in the country.
This is to help them understand what their course is really about and to boost their interest in the course.
Other study tours for the Club can be held when need be, to learn and understand different techniques
Some of the places we have toured are; UNBS, UIRI, kawanda Agriculture Research Institute, Government chemists- Wandegeya, Mulago Hospital, Uganda Sewage Cooperation.
3. Public Lectures:
Accomplished Biotechnologists from various fields are invited to talk to the biotechnology club members and other students who may be interested.
4. Tutorial Videos:
Videos that are educative and that throw more light on what we study are shown regularly to facilitate students’ learning
5. Marketing the Club:
We put up a sign post of the Club which helps people to know that the club exists.
